The notion of left wing and right wing ideologies is by far one of the most polarizing notion in the world of politics. When asked to people about their opinion and analysis of the two distinct ideologies, either people become quite staid (if they have some self-respect and sense of maturity) or just commence freaking out (usually the irrational fanatics). But there's one thing that I know of certain and that is very few people actually know and acknowledge the true meaning and essence of both of these ideologies. Due to this manipulation and using of these ideologies by rapacious scoundrels for their own dirty agenda, we get to witness ample of riots and separatism with cold hatred. But who actually suffer from the emanation of this separatist agenda? It's the society, the common people, we as a civilization, are the ones that suffer. And who benefits form this dirty game? Exactly! The rapacious scoundrels!
But if we take a step back and examinate the bigger picture, what we get to perceive is very palpable. Yet the more pissing reality is that the majority does not even bother to scavenge for the real truth and instead just linger like leeches with the superficial details or rather just what they want to believe.
But today, I am here out of frustration. I am here to endorse that I am the intrepid one. I am here to do my part as a responsible and sensible citizen. I am here to expound the radical truth about the misinterpreted notion of left and right wing ideologies. And I guarantee you that after perusing through what I am going divulge, you won't need any other source to ponder upon for comprehending the complex concept of these ideologies. But I do urge your cooperation with an open-mind primed to scout and conceive the reality. Because the truth is worth it.
Long story short. Let's cut the mustard right away.
THE ORIGIN
Whenever we are to scout for the reality of something, we should always use our rational and critical thinking abilities instead of being driven by our biased emotions. In this way, the very first question we can research about is the origin of these ideologies. Where did these terms come from? For the answer, we'll have to turn the pages of history and ponder upon the late 18th century. The very first use of these terms we're back in the French Revolution around 1780s when people where gathered in an assembly to divulge upon the future of governance in France. On the "right" side of the assembly, the people who were in support of hierarchy system and monarchy, we're sitting. On the "left" side of the assembly, the people who wanted to end the oppression and were looking forward to bring about reform and democracy in the society, were sitting. Hence from here on, the idea of left and right wing ideologies came into existence.
IMPLICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS
From the above story, the context of both these ideologies have been extracted. Since the people who were sitting on the "left" side wanted democracy, the words like "reformist" and "revolutionary" are used to describe leftist ideology. While the people who were sitting on the "right" side were the supporters of hierarchy and monarchy, the terms like "establishing" and "conservative" are used to describe about right wing ideology. Though a lot of changes have happened in the past with the meaning of these ideologies, but the fundamental context has remained the same.
Now let us further delve into the views of both these ideologies in depth:-
Left wing ideologies
1.) They keep religion and government separate.
2.) They espouse same sex marriage.
3.) They are against death penalty.
4.) They are open to immigration.
5.) They tend to increase tax on rich and heed subsidies.
6.) They foster globalization and internationalism.
Right wing ideologies
1.) They execute one state religion policy.
2.) They don't embolden abortion.
3.) They exercise upon reducing tax.
4.) They don't embolden immigration.
Now it's your turn. After perusing through, tell me which wing is the best and the correct one? ....Ummm.... Skeptical? Don't worry, I got you. The answer is centre. Neither extreme left wing is good nor extreme right wing since each ideology has its own disadvantage and positivity. And a matter of fact is that polarizing any individual or group on the distinction of left and right wing is radically fickle. Because any individual or group may have a amalgamation of opinion from both the ideologies. Hence, "left leaning" can be labelled to someone whose majority of views are from left wing and "right leaning" can be labelled to someone vice versa.
For the very same reason of the inefficacy of left and right wing labels to explicate the views of anyone or any group, these wings have been chunked into two realms:-
1.) Socially left and right wing
As the name aptly suggests, this realm refers to the social and cultural inclinations of an individual or a group. This comprises of the religion aspects, individual choices, freedom, etc.
Let us ponder upon them explicitly.
(i.) Socially left. Being socially left means to heed ideas and actions of liberty and egalitarianism. Hence they don't command order or impel people to emulate one single religion or culture but rather remain secular. They are progressive in nature and embolden radical freedom of expression and living and thus espouse same sex marriage and acceptance for abortion. However, the other characteristic of socially left, i.e., openness to immigration can be dire for the country at times and may become a cardinal factor for corruption, riots and even terrorism! Countries like Norway, Denmark and Sweden are some examples of socially left leaning countries.
(ii.) Socially right. They are conservative and often in support of hierarchy. They reputed religion and conservativeness on top of everything ( including progressiveness) and execute one state religion policy. Countries of socially right nature are often a hotspot for communal riots, oppression and infractions of human rights. One possible advantageous aspect if their aviation towards excessive immigration. Most of the middle-eastern countries are socially right. A very recent example is the self-proclaimed-saviours of Islam, the Taliban, in Afghanistan. Other examples incorporate countries like North Korea and Costa Rica.
2.) Economically left and right wing
Now comes the economical facet of both ideologies.
(i.) Economically left. Firstly an economy which is left in nature exercises upon radical involvement of government and its entities. The total supply chains and markets are in the hand of government and scopes for private investments are stultified. Other traits of left wing economy incorporate increasing tax on rich and emboldening subsidies. Examples are China, Zimbabwe and Algeria.
(ii.) Economically right. Right wing economic philosophy is grounded on an open market curriculum. It stresses on keeping the markets radically free from government intervention to maximize private investments and development of corporate industries. They also exercise upon reducing tax slabs. This strategy fosters innovation in the market which triggers stupendous boost of the overall economy the country. Examples include the U.S., Switzerland, Finland, etc.
TIME FOR ANALYSIS
Now we have arrived on the drift where the complete ignored reality of both ideologies is palpable. Time for some genuine analysis. Let's go.
Socially, left leaning ideology is far better than right leaning since it heeds the essence of true liberty, egalitarianism and humanity. A matter of fact is that, when we ponder over the social success index of distinct realms, we conceive that the countries that embrace a left leaning approach are the ones who are at the top of the index and enjoy happiness, integrity and success. Examples incorporate Finland, Denmark, South Korea, France, Ireland, etc.
And economically, right leaning ideology has proved to be substantially better in most of the facets due to its core philosophy of free and fair markets. And the most successful and thriving economies follow trajectories that pivotally and profoundly operate upon right leaning economic strategies. Examples include Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, etc.
THE BEST ROADMAP
Now a valid question is still floating around. Which is the best one to follow? Well, it's intriguing to comprehend that there's no "best" or "correct" ideology. Because as already mentioned, neither extreme left wing is good extreme right wing is good. Because when we travel to the extreme left side of the spectrum, we witness extreme Communism like Stalin's Russia and CCP's China. On the other hand, when we travel to the extreme right side of the spectrum, we witness extreme Capitalism like the one back in the Industrial Revolution, which, without a shred of doubt, can be reprehended for the brutality and catastrophic labor exploitation at that time. Needless to mention, extermism of both sides is dire for the world.
There's no obligation upon any country to embrace a precise, presumably "correct" ideology. In contrary with this, each nation has to exercise upon to either crop out or engender their own winning formula. Because what can be fruitful for one country might not necessarily be accomplishing for other. It is intriguingly variable from nation to nation and at times even province to province! This is fundamentally because of the differences in culture, society, economy, geography, geopolitics and history among different nations. But for articulating a propitious roadmap for us, we need to take a step back and scout the data available. When we examine the facts, we comprehend that the most successful countries are those who strike a positive balance between both ideologies. And this has been expounded in an impeccable manner with as unbiasedness as possible.
A GLIMPSE OF INDIA
Coming to the final segment of this blog, time for pondering over India's inclination to the two ideologies. I know that this blog has been quite massive but the complexity of the niche compelled me to make it so. Anyways' let's cut the mustard one last time.
Well, economically India is left-leaning since all the parties and government institutions tend to increase tax slabs on legitimate goods and services as well as embolden subsidies, which is quite justifiable since India is a developing country and it is requisite for several sectors in the nation.
Now, comes perhaps the most polarizing realm, and of course the scoundrels' favourite, the social inclination. In India, there are majorly 4 socially left, i.e., secular parties: INC, AAP, TMC , and DMK. On the other hand, there are majorly 3 socially right, i.e., one state religion parties: the subtle SHIV SENA , the self-proclaimed-leaders of Islam, AIMIM and the self-proclaimed-Hindutva-Rakshak, BJP. Needless to mention which wing commingles religion with governance and which doesn't. And I have got something even more juxtaposing. According to the 42nd amendment of the Indian Constitution, "Inda is a sovereign, socialist secular democratic republic and religion and state can't be mixed as long as India is governed by the Constitution." It's piquant to conceive the impudence of these scoundrels who divide the nation for their own Machievallian agenda and then pretend and refer themselves as true Patriots.
This whole surreptitious and superstitious dividing game is nothing but a parasitic system to serve some corrupt motives. India is definitely in a state of integrity crisis. India needs reform and it is going to happen the same way it happened in 1947 because some rational people are still alive. Until then, God save my nation and its beauty.
